When you say the words “West Austin” most folks think of expensive homes, rolling hills, Lake Austin, a great little football team, and possibly Mount Bonnell.  Yes, West Austin has a lot of panache and the residents are rightfully proud of the beauty of this part of Austin.  The Village of West Lake Hills and Rollingwood sit within Austin’s western edge and West Lake has it’s own City Hall and police department.

Once a sleepy little lake-side community built in the 1950s and 1960s, Westlake is now one of the priciest areas in Austin and has shown itself to be a good long-term investment for Santa Clarita Real Estate.  Some of the communities within the boundaries of West Austin are Barton Creek, Rob Roy (which has a number of reincarnations), Davenport Ranch, Lost Creek, Lake Austin Estates and Senna Hills.  While you can still find remnants of the lakeside community that was once West Lake, you’re now more likely to find homes in West Austin priced at $500,000 and up.

Please take a moment to search through these areas, with a real estate agent call me when you’re ready to view some of your favorite choices!
