While city living appeals to many of us, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, and why should it be when you have the gorgeous Texas Hill Country at your finger tips! The surrounding communities such as Bastrop, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander, Manor/Elgin, San Marcos/Kyle, Wimberley, Driftwood and Dripping Springs offers the proximity to shopping and businesses that a large city offers while allowing one to enjoy the slower pace, affordable prices, and expansive acreage that can be found outside Austin city limits. With new home developments and quality schools, these areas are seeing increased demand to meet housing needs from every sector of society.
Homes in Austin Areas
Each of these communities has a quality that may just be the right fit for you! Bastrop is a short commute to Austin/Bergstrom Airport and has many charming older homes within a small town center; Pflugerville is only minutes from Downtown Austin and has many affordable homes; Leander/Cedar Park is both affordable and has just opened a new City Center for concerts and other cultural events; Round Rock has long been praised for excellent schools, shopping centers, and spacious homes; and Dripping Springs and Wimberley have beautiful hill-country settings, excellent schools and is a favorite for equestrians. For the most relaxing properties in the area, you might look towards our crystal lakes in Lakeway and Lago Vista. The blue waters of the Colorado River have been attracting residents since the earliest times. If all this sounds overwhelming, here’s a map of Central Texas to help you keep it straight.
