When most people think of Austin, they think of music! And what would we do without the talented musicians who work and play in our city? If indeed, we are the “Live Music Capital of the World,” then we are obligated to support the individuals who provide us with endless enjoyment! Our local musicians provide the soundtrack of our lives and they deserve the best health care available.

Providing mental health care, primary health insurance and basic dental care for Austin musicians, the “mission of the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians is to provide access to affordable health care for Austin’s low income, uninsured musicians, focusing on prevention and wellness”. Founded in 2006 with the support of Seton Family of Hospitals, St. David’s Community Health Foundation Leadership and the SIMS Foundation, HAAM supports our self-employed, professional musicians with necessary basic health care.
